Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Royal Family Kids- Camp
Royal Family KIDS Club
What's Next after Camp?
Following camp, children are given the opportunity to continue building trust and confidence with a caring adult mentor during the school year in our Mentoring Club. Participating campers are matched with trained mentors from the Royal Family KIDS Mentoring team. Mentors and their mentees spend four hours together each month doing fun activities and building healthy adult-to-child relationships. This relationship is built upon: trust, safety and commitment – each mentor, mentee and caregiver commit to nine months of Club and one on one mentoring time. Children who have participated in our Mentoring Club Program have experienced tremendous growth in self-esteem and confidence. Mentors play a vital role in fostering hope through the relationships they build with their mentees.
Meet Our Club Directors
Hello, I'm Trevia Gulbrandtsen.
Mentoring Club Co-Director
I started working with RFK as a day volunteer back in 2016. That turned into donating jewelry kits for the kids and then to being at camp helping in the activity area. A buddy counselor is where I found my place. Being in the cabin with the girls and spending time with the girls and the counselors is such a blessing. Of course that led to being a mentor in the RFK mentoring club program because the girls needed mentors. When the need for a club director arose it seemed a natural next phase. I love the kids and until God calls me to another service ministry, I will serve here.
Hello, I'm Shari Fairburn
Mentoring Club Co-Director
Our team empowers the children and each other with the Word of God through puppetry, activities, songs and events. It doesn't matter if we are teaching social and coping skills, bible truths or a new game; we are enabled by God to ensure that each child feels welcomed, loved and royal.

I have served as a member of this mentoring team for a total of 5 years and am humbled by the God inspired relationships that have blossomed. Not only have I laughed and cried with many of our mentors but I have watched them grow into strong leaders and advocates for our children. I have also been privileged to witness the child I mentor grow into a kind, witty and amazing young woman.

RFK camp has also been a great blessing in my life. In the past 4 years I have been continually amazed at the detail and prayer that goes into planning each campers' "royal" moments. Praise God for the magnificent things He continues to do through RFK!
